    Vulnerably Me—Conference Reflection

Only a day left of the EDUCAUSE Cybersecurity and Privacy Professionals conference—and whew, I am tired, y’all. This was my first EDUCAUSE event, and hopefully not my last. It’s been a whirlwind of learning, connection, and moments that stretched me beyond what I thought I could do—and there’s still one more day to go! What’s…

About Me

Hi! I’m Terry. I’ve been working 20+ years in the IT field, mostly in desktop support. I’ve recently become fascinated with things related to cyber and information security, and looking to work in the field. My ideal area of focus is security awareness or ‘human risk management’, as I prefer to call it.

Also, I’m fascinated with all things fashion and style, with aspirations of being a personal style consultant.

I blog about my daily style that I wear to work each day, as well as cyber and informational security related news, as I try to combine the two in my own way. Nothing super technical or complicated, but more how it deals with and affects non-technical people. Think of it as an everyday person’s guide to security news.

    My Cybersecurity Era: Speak Now

I’ve always been in tech. From the days of tinkering with the Commodore 64 in my childhood bedroom, to delivering computer equipment to small businesses, to running Y2K tests for a public school system (yep, that was a thing!)—I was there, learning, exploring, growing. I’ve worked at help desks, supported…
