What’s the ‘Magic Word’?

Ever hear about “credential reuse” or “credential stuffing”?

This is exactly what it is. Cyber criminals constantly use techniques such as phishing emails to obtain your credentials to places like banking sites, social media, and so on. If you use “open sesame” to access each of these places, the criminals now have access to ALL of your account information everywhere.

This is why it’s extremely important to ensure that you are using different credentials (or ‘magic words’) for each account you create. If the criminals get their paws on one key, they won’t have the key to the kingdom, but just one door.

Oh, and if you were perhaps using ‘open sesame’ as a password somewhere, you’ve just been outed. 😂
