Secure, in Style – Weekly Style Recap and Gratitude: March 11 – 15, 2024

Happy Friday! 😁

I’m sitting in Starbucks as I write this, as I left work early in order to make my follow up visit with my nurse practitioner (yes, I stand corrected from previous posts).

We went over my MRI results, and even though I had NO idea what she was talking about when looking at the actual images, she said that she does not believe that I’ll need surgery, even though one of the ligaments on the top of my foot is completely torn. She thinks it will heal on its own, but will likely take a while to do so. So, that means no surgery, no real physical therapy needed (unless I feel I need it later), and NO BOOT either. I’ve been given the A-OK to try to use it as normally as possible, and to practice my balance by standing on it, and lifting up my other foot. This should help strengthen the surrounding ligaments and give me better stability.

I think it probably goes without saying, but as the English might say, I’m “chuffed”. 😁

Changing gears, going back to yesterday’s blog post that was handwritten, as much as I think it would have been a great idea, not to mention give things a real personal touch, I’m going to have to stick with typing out my posts, rather than writing them by hand. I had neglected to consider that posting images takes up more storage space on my blog than typewritten words, and I have a limit to how much I can store.

On that note, question for any other long-time bloggers out there like me who may happen to be reading along: do any of you go back through and delete older or less relevant posts from your blogs, or do you keep them up forever? I’m quite curious, as this popped into my head while I was debating the whole handwritten-typewritten issue. Please weigh in!

Okay, so here’s what I was grateful for this week. Should be pretty obvious what I was grateful for on Friday. 😂

Finally, here’s what I wore to work this week. I hope you enjoy them!
