I will not worry about things I cannot change.
I will not worry about things I cannot change.
I will not worry about things I cannot change.
Oh, who am I kidding, of course I will. I will always be worrying about why I can’t change it, or obsessing about ways that I could possibly change it. It’s in my DNA. I am a worrier. Honestly, I’m a little surprised that I don’t have a host of health and mental problems because of it. Or, maybe I do, and I just hide them REALLY well from everyone, including myself … 🤷🏻♂️
If any of you listen to podcasts, especially non-fiction, I would highly recommend listening to The Cyberwire’s “SpyCast”. It’s a weekly podcast featuring Dr. Andrew Hammond, historian and curator of the International Spy Museum, in Washington D.C. (that place is AWESOME, by the way). Each week, he interviews different people in various industries. It’s hard to describe, so I’ll let the show description do it for me:
TOP SECRETPersonal Attention, SpyCast Listeners
Known to be the podcast real spies listen to -(STOP)- eavesdrop on conversations with high level sources from around the world -(STOP)- spychiefs molehunters defectors covert operators analysts cyberwarriors and researchers debriefed by SPY Historian Hammond -(STOP) stories secrets tradecraft and technology discussed -(STOP)- HUMINT SIGINT OSINT IMINT GEOINT and more -(STOP)- rumored to be professional education internal communication and public information -(STOP)- entire back catalog available online for free -(STOP)- please investigate this claim with all possible haste -(STOP)- SPY Historian Hammond said to have a Scottish accent -(STOP)- is this a countermeasure or a hearts-and-minds campaign?
(END TELEGRAM)
It’s not anything dramatic, but a more of a simple Q&A with Dr. Hammond and his guest each week. For instance, he is interviewing someone who helped cracked the final Zodiac Killer cipher, which had been unsolvable for just over half a century (51 years).
Give it a listen, and let me know what you think.
I’m out.
