Hey all! Yes, I’m still alive and around. 😅

I’ve still been recovering from the dentist visit, but also have been VERY busy at work. Our director has been keeping me busy, and (in my eyes) definitely in a good way. It’s very refreshing and enlightening to see how things are decided and operate on a higher level, and I’m enjoying no longer being in the weeds, and given the chance to see the ‘bigger picture’. Wow, I just totally sounded like I spouted off some corporate catchphrases and buzzwords, and making no sense whatsoever. 🤣

Now that I’ve a few moments to sit down to myself and catch my breath today (I didn’t even eat lunch until 3:30 this afternoon!), I wanted to have a chance to offer up my thoughts on a few things. Shall we?

New iPads

While I completely missed the event back on Tuesday, I went through Apple’s site to read through what’s coming. My initial impressions? Meh. While I just recently switched over from my 12.9-inch iPad Pro to the 13-inch MacBook Air and iPad Mini, there’s really nothing I see in the new models that would make me want to switch back. Sure, there are pretty new screens, a new Apple Pencil (Pro? Really??), and a new Magic Keyboard, but I remained unconvinced. Sure, it’s got the brand new M4 processor that’s not in any Mac yet, there’s not enough that I do with my new M3 MacBook Air that would kickstart the “gotta have it” desire in my brain. I’ve finally worked the kinks out of my workflow after transitioning to the computer, and I don’t want to have to do that AGAIN. Besides, my workflow and process seems to be much smoother than it was on my iPad Pro.

The “book”

While I haven’t really done much with it since coming up with the idea (FINALLY), it’s still firmly planted in my mind. I also have an idea of what I want the cover to look like, and I want to try and figure out how to get that onto media before it fades from memory. Aside from that, I need help from you authors out there. What’s the next (first) step?

That’s enough for now. It’s time to go home and relax a little.
