Hey, look at that… It’s Tuesday. How’d that happen? 🤔
I’ll be honest. I didn’t have time to put this post together on Friday, as work has been keeping me busy. Also, I didn’t forget about putting it together over the weekend. You know what I did over the weekend? Nothing.
NUH. THING.
I had absolutely zero motivation, interest, or inclination to do anything all weekend long. Aside from meals, I sat down, and either watched TV or played some games. Let me tell you: it was GLORIOUS. For the first time in quite a while, it actually felt like it was exactly what I needed. I felt refreshed, recharged. Sure, it may sound similar to what I do every other weekend, but I usually end up doing something, running here or there. This was different; more deliberate, almost intentional even. I felt refreshed, and energized when I awoke for work today. Heck, I kinda feel like I even slept better last night. I definitely need to do this more often! As a matter of fact, I’m taking off the entire week next week to try and do more of it. Sure, I’ll probably be doing things here and there, and I need to take some time for myself, but I’m going to try and incorporate more “power down time” (or some other catchier name).
If you don’t already, I would highly recommend everyone take some “power down time” for themselves. Really take it easy, and relax. Watch TV. Sit outside. Sleep. It’s great stuff, I’m telling ya.
For those of you who celebrate it, happy iOS/iPadOS/macOS/tvOS/watchOS release day! 🥳 .. I’ve been spending a good portion of today updating my various personal Apple dingle-dangles, and at the same time, working on configuring things so work dingle-dangles don’t update themselves until things have been fully vetted. Can’t have that shiny new operating system completely break someone’s favorite word puzzle app that’s for “work purposes”, right? 😉
Anyway, it’s about time I moved on to my usual bits of these posts. Here is my gratitude list for last week.
Last, but not least, here is a look back at what I wore to work last week. I hope you enjoy them!
