Hey all!
Time for another edition of “twenty questions”! 😊
If you’re not familiar with how this works, I reach out to a blogger, content creator, business professional, etc. that reside within my realms of interest: fashion and style, and cybersecurity and InfoSec. I ask them twenty questions to get to know them, and their areas of interest better, and then I share what I learn with you. It’s a great way to network, and learn more about people.
Ready to dive in?

Personal Style & Inspiration
1. How would you describe your personal style in three words?
Colorful, fun, unique
2. What inspired you to dive into the world of fashion and style content creation?
I had always gravitated towards fashion/style but my passion for it began in 2012 (around about). I was in a rut in life, a very routine schedule and at work I wore a uniform. Then I found Wendy’s Lookbook -another well established blogger and found myself so inspired by her styles! I began to realize, I could do that! So, without knowing a thing about blogging I bought a camera and began to take pictures and blog.
3. Who or what has been your biggest influence in developing your personal style?
Wendy’s Lookbook and Byaimeekelly lately.
4. What’s the story behind the name or concept of your brand?
I have ADD/ADHD and growing up I’d zone out/daydream a lot in school especially. And I constantly heard ‘Reagan, you look like you’re in your own world.’ So, it seemed only fitting to name my blog -a place where I’m bringing my daydreams to life- ‘in my own world!’
5. How do you stay true to your style while experimenting with new trends?
I find ways to add my own personal touches whenever I’m experimenting. Whether it be pops of color, layering pieces, stacking necklaces, adding a giant flower pin! 😉

Fashion Content Creation
6. What motivated you to start creating fashion content, and how did you take the first step?
The combination of being in a rut combined with finding Wendy’s Lookbook and being incredibly inspired and not having a creative outlet, was what motivated me to take the first steps. I remember feeling SO antsy for a while. I had all this creative energy just dying to get out. That’s when I got the camera and began the blog.
7. Can you share how you balance building your brand with your other responsibilities?
My days off from my day job are mostly spent shooting looks, videos, and reels and I’m constantly planning ahead. Thankfully I have a bit of flexibility with my day job, but it still definitely takes a lot of dedication!
8. Do you have a daytime job outside of fashion? If so, how does it influence your content?
I do! It doesn’t really influence my content. In fact it has nothing to do with fashion or styling!
9. What has been the most rewarding part of being a fashion content creator?
There are a few things! The two that come to mind at this moment are one: the people I’ve met along the way! They are some of the most supportive, fun, and interesting people! And 2ndly, it’s so incredible to have visions and then actually bring them to life! It’s incredibly rewarding!
10. What’s a piece of advice you’d give to someone just starting their fashion journey?
Have fun and embrace each part of the journey. People get caught up in ‘making it’ but there’s a lot of beauty in overcoming challenges and learning/growing.

Brand & Business
11. How did you come up with your brand identity, and what does it mean to you?
It’s everything! I took something that was a perceived flaw of sorts and turned it into a creative safe space!
12. What has been the biggest lesson you’ve learned in growing your personal brand?
It is okay to not know exactly what you want out of your brand and it’s okay to change direction. I didn’t know what I wanted to do with it for a long time! Now I’m pretty certain I want to focus on providing styling services for people. Whether for photoshoots, videos, or closet curation. I’m still going to continue blogging and creating content as well!
13. How do you approach collaborations or partnerships to align them with your brand vision?
My biggest thing is that there is a good communication and commitment. I’m open minded when it comes to collaborations and partnerships, I love to put creative heads together and come up with great content. I even enjoy getting out of my comfort zone sometimes. But I can’t stand when trying to get ideas or get feedback from a collaborator is like pulling teeth! Or similarly, when someone says they want to collaborate but never actually commit to it. I feel like in both scenarios the person isn’t serious and I’m wasting my time. Thankfully, it doesn’t happen too often and even when they do come up it’s still a learning curve.
14. Are there any tools, apps, or resources you use to manage your brand and content creation?
I love CapCut and VivaVideo!

Style Tips & Shopping
15. What’s a fashion tip you swear by for looking effortlessly stylish?
Not necessarily a fashion tip but it can apply; my Papa used to say ‘think long, think wrong!’ Meaning just go with your gut! If you put a look together and like it -don’t second guess, don’t ask for other opinions, don’t overthink it, just go with it and own it!
16. What’s a wardrobe essential you believe everyone should own?
I would say a solid blazer, there’s just so much you can do with it! Dress it up, dress it down, wear is with pants, skirts, dresses, layer it etc!
17. Do you prefer investing in luxury pieces or finding great affordable options?
A little of both. I’ve never had the urge to invest in pieces like from Gucci or Louis Vuitton thus far. I have gotten a little bougiee though and splurged on some designer bags like Kate Spade and Besty Johnson, they aren’t the same category exactly but they aren’t cheap either! But also when I have time I enjoy hunting for good deals at thrift stores as well!
18. Do you enjoy thrift shopping or sustainable fashion? What’s your most memorable find?
Definitely I do! My favorite find -I’ll never forget it! I was at a Goodwill and for a while they had a rack that had slightly more expensive things that maybe were either designer names or were in great condition. Anyway I found the cutest dress on that rack for maybe $20? A few days later I went into a Marshall’s and found the same dress for like $60. I left with a smug smile on my face!
Fun & Personal Touch
19. If you could swap closets with any celebrity or influencer, who would it be and why?
Aimee Kelly for sure! Her closet is so full of color and texture!
20. What’s your favorite way to unwind after a busy day of creating or working?
I enjoy either just hanging with my guy or editing the pictures or videos while listening to spooky stories on YouTube!
And there you have it! I hope you enjoyed it. If you know someone who should be featured, or if you would like to be featured, please feel free to reach out to me at:
