Weekly Style Recap: Mar. 31-Apr. 4, 2025

Hey, guess what? It’s FINALLY Friday again. Don’t know about you, but it sure took its sweet time getting here, geez… 😁

It has been a BUSY week. The director has been out of town this week, and I was given the opportunity to attend all of his meetings he normally would have in his place. There really were some interesting ones, and even some I wish I could regularly attend. I do enjoy being exposed to more of the higher-level stuff that goes on. It also tickles the childish part of me that likes to think, “I know something that you don’t know!” when I’m around my coworkers. 😜

I was just reading that Nintendo is indefinitely postponed pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch 2 here in the U.S., so yayyyyyyyy tariffs. The rest of world gets to enjoy it, while we sit like a kid in the window, watching all of the other kids outside playing and having fun. So, yeah, that’s some awesome stuff right there. 😡

It’s also been a little bit of a weird kind of day for me as well for some reason. As I posted on Bluesky/Mastodon earlier, it’s been an Evanescence kind of day. I haven’t really listened to their stuff in, gosh, a while now, and I had completely forgotten how good it really is. What is it, though, about the sad songs that really hit me hardest? And it’s not just their songs, but pretty much sad songs in general? They seem to invoke the strongest emotional reactions out of me. I’m betting that it’s my (what I consider) hyper-empathy (super?) power at work, because I can so very easily imagine myself in those positions/situations, not to mention SO vividly.

Moving on…

I shared another post I came across over on LinkedIn that talks about how eager people can sometimes be to share information about themselves to a stranger, especially when that stranger seems to be truly interested in what they have to say. Miscreants and ne’er-do-wells can learn a LOT of information this way. It’s always a good idea to think before you speak.

With all of that said, let’s take a look back at what I wore to work this week. Sadly, it’s slowly transitioning to the season of “it’s so hot/humid that I can only wear boring clothes”. This season ALWAYS confounds me. That’s why I like spring and autumn best, because it’s not too hot, and not too cold.

Anyways, on to the outfits! Enjoy, and have a great and safe weekend! ☺️
